This facility has the ability to serve a multitude of clients for processing beef, pork and lamb. They have even done a few buffalo!
The facility is on a 1.5 acre tract of land with a 2,688 Sq. Ft. Steel Building located at 10056 Rd 91, Bridgeport, NE (approximately 6 miles northwest of town). The building comprises rail and storage area for up to 10 Beef in the quick chill cooler, capacity for 36 aging Beef (or 45 Hogs). As well as retail, slaughter and processing areas.
Through their creative efforts the Hogeland’s have been able to afford modern and efficient equipment. This has allowed them to put out a quality product with just the 2 of them! With more help, the production could very well rise. Waiting lists for processing of up to 4 to 6 months are commonplace in this area. The Current owner would be willing to guide the new Buyer through logistics and operation of this facility.
The facility also currently is involved in the “Farm to School” program furnishing donated beef to the local school system (USDA Inspected). There are currently no other processors in the Panhandle of Nebraska that supply this service! Schools as far away as Omaha have expressed interest in utilizing this service. Seventeen Schools are currently part of this program!
The Owners have also an established market for specialty snack meats with several outlets in the area! As you will see by the equipment list, this facility is capable of supplying a large quantity of these products.
